It’s been a lovely birthday so far. Coffee and cake with Xanthe at Eurobar, lunch with Lynda at III Bean, and tonight, dinner with Dave at a place as yet to be decided.
Xanthe did a family photo shoot for us a few weeks ago and gave me the results today. Great birthday present, thank you!
(And no, no baby yet. Acupuncture appointment made for Friday.)
Argh, I can’t choose one best place. There are lots of places that have featured strongly in 2009. Some favourites:
- Merewether Beach: sitting on the sand with a coffee from the espresso bar, with friends and kids playing.
- Eurobar cafe: Lil calls this place the ‘pub cafe’ because we walk past the pub to get there. She is always asking to go to the cafe and her favourite order is a banana smoothie. It became a regular Monday lunch date with Xanthe and Arlo after music class.
- Gregson Park: playground, shady trees, always someone we know there.
- Farmer’s Markets: fruit and veg shopping, jumping castles, music and coffee. (Hmm, coffee featured a lot here.)
