It’s been a busy weekend around here. Starting with Friday afternoon when we finally booked our tickets to Singapore! More about that here.
Saturday was Dave’s birthday. It poured rain most of the day but he did go for a run in the morning. We celebrated with some friends around for bacon and egg rolls in the morning and Dave’s parents over for a BBQ (cooked under cover from the rain) and cake dinner.
Today the rain has stopped but it is hot and so humid! There is a festival on down the street and we went for a wander and had some gelato and coffee with Dave’s parents. The kids went on a jumping castle and emerged dripping with sweat.
We said goodbye to Dave’s mum who returns to England tomorrow. It’s been lovely having her close by again for the last few weeks and we will all miss her. It was kind of fun to say, “See you in Thailand!” though.
Now it is nap time. The boys are both asleep. Lil is playing Lego Star Wars videos on the iphone and I am here.
Oh, one more thing happened this morning. I went for a run. More on that in a separate post.
